Multitudes

“I am large, I contain multitudes.”

-Junot Diaz- via Whitman

If I had to sum up myself in one word. I couldn’t.

If I had to think of a phrase that would exemplify “Me”, I’d be hard pressed.

I am a man of multitudes.

I am a contradiction

I am a dream realized

I am the embodiment of  the hopes of people from familar places

and far off lands

people whom I’ve met

and others who’ve I only met in dreams

I am a citizen of the world

I am a solitary man

I am good

I am bad

I am simply me.

To be simply me is to convoluted and contradicted

To be anyone else would be an easy out.

Because I am large.

I am a man of multitudes

A statute of liberty

“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

-Emma Lazarus-

I pray

Im worried… so I pray
I pray I find  what I’m to find
I pray I meet whom I should meet
I pray I love whom I should love
I pray for meaning
I pray for peace
I pray
I pray all this is not in vain
I pray You hear me, I pray you near me
simply,
honestly,
earnestly
 pray
